Cavender's Meat Pies

• 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 4-5 small potatoes, finely diced
• 1 small package frozen mixed vegetables
• 1/3 C. soy sauce
• 1 tbsp. "Cavender's Greek Seasoning"
• 3 C flour
• 6 tsp. baking powder
• 3/4 tsp salt
• 3/4 tsp cream of tartar
• 3 tsp sugar
• 3/4 C oil
• 1 C milk
• 2 or 3 small green tomatoes

Brown ground beef, then add next 5 ingredients, mix well and put a lid on to simmer.

Now mix next 7 ingredients to form a medium soft dough. Divide dough into 12 balls, roll each flat and place 1 each in ungreased muffin pan cups, trim edges then fill with meat mixture, then top each with 1 slice of green tomato, topped with a dash of "Cavender's" and bake until brown (10-15 min). Serve hot with white sauce if desired.
